What brought you to Eureka Springs?

Ashley: The last time we came here for our anniversary was in 2015, so we just kind of needed a weekend getaway. We were like, “You know what? We’re going back to Eureka.”

Have you done any shopping?

Ashley: There was a huge sale at Nelson’s on Hey Dudes. Our family, we’re a farm family, so we all wear Hey Dudes. I bought some for my son, nephew, husband and me. It was kind of exciting.

What else have you done in town?

Ashley: We went to Mud Street Café and got their coffee. Their lattes were amazing. Then, we just walked up and down Spring Street and went through Basin Park and toured through there. We’re just getting started. We’re staying at the Treehouses this time. It’s really neat. It’s like a little hobbit cave.

What’s the best thing you’ve eaten in town?

Ashley: We had breakfast at Mud Street. We just got here last night, so we have a couple of places to go today. We’re going to try to hit something that’s a hot spot tonight.

Describe Eureka Springs in three words.

Ashley: Historic, artsy and welcoming.

Will you be back?

Ashley: We will be coming back. We would like to try to make this at least an annual trip for us. This is our downtime time of year, and one of our kiddos will be going off to college next year, so we’re trying to do more for weekend getaways.
