Opera In Bloom

2026 Summer Season Brings Rising Stars to Eureka Springs

Posted

Opera in the Ozarks, the storied summer music festival and prominent opera training program based in Eureka Springs, will launch its 2026 Summer Season, Opera in Bloom, in late June — featuring a dynamic lineup of opera performances and special musical events at its scenic Inspiration Point venue and locations across Northwest Arkansas. Tickets are now on sale.

The 2026 Season begins on Friday, June 26, and continues through Friday, July 24, at Opera in the Ozarks’ mountainside home, Inspiration Point Center for the Arts, located at 16311 Highway 62 West, overlooking Beaver Lake just five miles west of historic Eureka Springs. Now entering its second full season in the organization’s state-of-the-art multimillion-dollar 300-seat theater, audiences will once again enjoy world-class opera in a setting that pairs exceptional acoustics and modern comfort with the natural beauty of the Ozark Mountains.

The new season will feature a talented cast of 41 singers along with professional instrumentalists from across the country.

“This summer’s company is filled with extraordinary young artists whose talent, dedication, and artistry continue to raise the bar for Opera in the Ozarks,” says Nancy Preis, Opera in the Ozarks’ general director. “With a full orchestra and an inspiring repertoire, audiences can expect remarkable depth, energy and musical excellence across all 22 MainStage performances.”

This season’s MainStage repertoire includes four exceptional works: Mozart’s The Marriage of Figaro, Bernstein’s Candide, and a Puccini double bill featuring Suor Angelica and Gianni Schicchi, along with other special performances throughout the region. In addition, the Studio Artist traveling production, Monkey See, Monkey Do by Robert Xavier Rodriguez, will be presented at more than a dozen public libraries and community centers in northwest Arkansas and southwest Missouri.

“Our 2026 repertoire offers a compelling blend of comedy, drama, and musical brilliance,” Preis adds. “From Mozart’s masterful ensemble writing and Bernstein’s parkling wit to Puccini’s deeply moving and beautifully contrasting one-act operas, this season showcases the range and emotional power of opera at its finest – while providing our artists with rich opportunities to grow and shine.”

MainStage productions are staged on a rotating basis throughout the season, with evening performances at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday matinees at 3 p.m. The Thursday, July 9, performance will also be a 3 p.m. matinee. Beyond the 22 MainStage performances in Eureka Springs, the 2026 Summer Season will also feature a variety of other special musical events across the region.

Audiences will enjoy the always-popular Chamber Music concert on July 21 at Inspiration Point (7:30 p.m.), along with not one, but two Broadway Cabarets. One cabaret will take place in Eureka Springs on July 18 at Inspiration Point (6 p.m.), while the second will be held in Springdale on July 20 at The Apollo (6 p.m.). Both cabarets will include a buffet dinner and cash bar — these lively performances will feature a variety of beloved songs from Broadway shows, performed by members of the Opera in the Ozarks company.

Tickets for the 2026 season are on sale now.

Single tickets to MainStage opera performances range in price from $30 to $50 depending on seat selection, with special $10 pricing available for children and students under 18. Tickets for the dinner-inclusive Broadway Cabaret events are $80. Tickets for the Chamber Music Concert are $25. Performances of Monkey See, Monkey Do are presented free of charge.
